Restorative dentistry repairs or replaces teeth that are broken, decayed, worn down, or missing, using treatments like fillings, inlays and onlays, crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants. We handle almost all of it in our Meadowmont Village office.

The Basics
What does restorative dentistry cover,
and when do you need it?
Many patients come to us after one of three things happens:
- An old filling gives out, and a corner of the tooth goes with it
- A tooth that stayed quiet for years starts reacting to cold
- A tooth comes out, and the gap starts changing how you chew

Then we go through the options. We’ll never recommend treatment you do not need, and every plan starts with an honest conversation about what is happening and what makes sense for your life and your budget.
Repair
Fixing a single damaged tooth
When a tooth is damaged but still has enough healthy structure to build on, we repair it instead of replacing it. Which repair you need comes down to how much of the tooth is left.
Tooth-colored fillings
Our fillings are resin composite, also called bonding, shaded to match the tooth around them. They bond to the tooth itself, and they hold up for the everyday cavities and small chips that bring most patients in.
Taking out old silver fillings
If you have amalgam fillings that you would rather not see, or that have cracked or begun to leak, we can replace them with a tooth-colored composite.
Porcelain and gold inlays and onlays
When damage runs past what a filling can handle, but the tooth does not need full coverage, we recommend an inlay or an onlay. We make them in porcelain or in gold, and a lab builds them from a digital scan. We scan every impression on one of our three iTero scanners, so no tray of putty comes anywhere near you.
Crowns
A crown covers the whole tooth and takes the load off one that has cracked or has more filling in it than tooth. We place porcelain crowns in Zirconia and Emax, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, and gold crowns, and we choose the material based on where the tooth sits and how hard you grind. We don’t mill crowns in the office, so a trusted lab makes yours and we fit it at a later visit.
Replace
Replacing a tooth you’ve already lost
At Meadowmont Dentistry, we can replace missing teeth three ways: with a dental implant, a bridge, or a denture. Our team places implants right here in our office, instead of referring you elsewhere.
Dental implants
An implant is a post we place in the jaw to carry a crown, a bridge, or a denture. Dr. Wilson is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and handles both the placement and the restoration, so the person planning your implant is the one finishing it.
Advanced technology guides every implant case
Each implant case at Meadowmont Dentistry starts with a Galileos 3D CT scan and an iTero scan. We plan the placement in Galaxis software against your bone quality and quantity, and we use a custom surgical guide so the implant lands where we planned it. Before we finalize the crown or restoration, Osstell RFA readings confirm the implant is stable and ready to load. That protocol exists for optimal placement and long-term success.
What an implant consultation includes
We review your health history and your medications, examine you, take the Galileos 3D CT scan and the iTero scan, and run everything through Galaxis to evaluate your bone density and whether an implant is feasible. Then we walk the whole treatment plan with you, including risks, options, alternatives, fees, total cost, and payment options.
We charge for the CT scan, and if the scan shows you are not a good candidate, we refund it or never charge you for it.
The lifetime warranty on our implants and restorations
A lifetime warranty covers every implant and every restoration we place. Keep your regular checkups and take good care of them at home, and if something we placed breaks, fails, or doesn’t hold up, we fix it at no charge. Failures caused by neglected oral hygiene or poor compliance are not covered.
Bridges
A bridge closes a gap by anchoring a replacement tooth to the teeth on either side of it. It stays put, and we’ll tell you honestly when a bridge suits your situation better than an implant does.
Complete, partial, and implant-supported dentures
We make complete dentures for a full arch, partials when you still have healthy teeth to work around, and implant-supported dentures that lock onto implants we place instead of resting on your gums.
Rebuild
Rebuilding a whole mouth
Full mouth reconstruction is what we call it when the damage is spread across your entire bite and repairing one tooth at a time will not solve it. Years of grinding, acid wear, or a large amount of old dentistry nearing the end of its life all contribute to this point. Dr. Wilson’s particular expertise is full-mouth reconstruction and implant restoration, and he sees these cases through to the final prosthesis himself.
You test-drive the new smile before we finalize it
Every full-arch and full-mouth restoration we do includes a temporary prosthesis first. You wear it, eat with it, talk with it, and live with it, and what you tell us about it shapes the final one. That gives us room to work out function and esthetics while changes are still easy to make.
Full-arch cases and the part we hand off
We restore full-arch and All-on-4 style cases, but we don’t perform the surgical component. Those patients usually want or need deep or IV sedation, which we don’t offer, so the surgery goes to our oral surgeon and the restorative work comes back to us.
Groundwork
The groundwork that makes a restoration possible
Some teeth need preparation before the restoration stage, and we do that preparation in this office too.
Extractions and wisdom teeth
When a tooth has fractured too far to save, removing it is the treatment. We handle extractions here, wisdom teeth included, and we plan the replacement at the same time so you know what comes next.
Bone grafting
An implant needs bone to hold onto. We do guided tissue regeneration, guided bone regeneration, and socket preservation at the time of an extraction so the site keeps its shape for an implant later.
Crown lengthening
When decay or a fracture runs below the gumline, we uncover more of the tooth so a crown has something solid to grip, and we can do it in a single visit. For soft tissue, we prefer our NV Pro diode laser. For bone and hard tissue, we use a traditional flap with osseous contouring, a surgical handpiece, and a bur.
Gum disease treatment
We treat periodontal disease here with ultrasonic scaling and root planing, subgingival irrigation, and Arestin antibiotic therapy.
TMJ and bite problems
For jaw pain, clenching, and a bite that feels wrong, we use occlusal guards and splints, muscle relaxers and NSAIDs, and an Aqualizer as a temporary oral device when the pain is acute and you need relief that day.
Broken teeth that cannot wait
Call us if a tooth breaks. We keep same-day time for emergencies, we see patients after hours, and we will treat you in an emergency even if we have never met you.

How much does restorative treatment cost?
That depends on which teeth, how much damage, and which materials your case needs. You hear the full cost and your payment options before we begin, with no pressure, no upsell, and no surprise fee at the end. Natalie Johnson, our Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator, goes through the cost and the options with you. We take cash, checks, credit cards, CareCredit, Sunbit, Proceed Financial, dental membership plans, and dental insurance.
How long do restorations last, and what if one fails?

Do you offer sedation for longer visits?
We offer oral sedation, plus pillows, blankets, headphones, and bottled water. Deep sedation and IV sedation are not something we provide, so we refer those cases to our oral surgeon.
Payment and Insurance
Honest, flexible, easy to plan around
We are out of network with all dental insurance plans, but we file claims on your behalf so you only pay your estimated portion at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and most major financing through CareCredit and Sunbit. Custom payment arrangements are also available for qualifying treatment.
